I love carbs. Especially bread. may a little but too much. We all have our downfalls though, if that is my only one that I might be alright. While I love those delicious carbohydrates, I do try and eat them in moderation. Moderation sometimes isn’t all that easy. Especially when it came to the Beer Bread I was asked to review.
This beer bread that I talking about, comes from a company called The Board Walk Food Company.
Board walk carries three flavors of these delicious beer breads:
- Original
- Cornbread
- Lemon poppy seed
I was able to try out the Rosemary sea salt beer bread. While most people probably recognize Rosemary as the staple in Italian cooking, most often used on lamb, pork, chicken and in pasta dishes- this Mediterranean Spice is wonderful in bread. Add it with sea salt in beer bread and you will find something wonderful to eat alone or with your favorite pasta dish.
I like to try out different foods, especially when I am hosting a dinner. It is always nice to have an item that tastes wonderful, but is different.

Not only does it taste good, in my opinion, it is easy to make.
First off to all the ladies with small children eating. Don’t worry about serving these to the kids. All the beer that you use in this will be alcohol free after baking! The alcohol cooks off. You can use your favorite beer no matter which one that is. Or if you are still kind of concerned about the whole beer thing, just omit it all together and add YOUR favorite drink! Anything will work, even coffee!
Whichever beverage you use, you only need 12 oz of it. Pour your favorite boardwalk bread mix in a bowl add the 12 oz of beer and mix. Pour mixture into a greased pan of your choice and bake for about an hour on 350. It depends on your oven, you know that best.
Enjoy it warm or eat it after it has cooled off.
